Wanna know Haikyu!! Season 5 Release date?? Excited for the new season? Many haikyu!! and anime fans are dying to know more about the series.
Written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate, HAIKYU!! Is a Japanese manga series. The story involves a student named Shoyo Hinata who is determined to become the greatest volleyball player disregarding his short size.
The manga initially started in 2012, and the anime hit the market a few years later and has kept the audience entertained since then.
HAIKYU!! SEASON 5 RELEASE DATE
On August 13, 2022, it was confirmed by the official Japanese website for Haikyu!! that the anime series will be returning but in the form of a two-part movie.
There will be no season 5 as it was confirmed that a final theatrical movie for the remaining part of the manga was in development. A special event is also scheduled to take place in August 2023 which will further update us on the production and possibly the release date of the movie.
While many fans were happy about the anime’s return, some were not thrilled to hear about the anime ending in the form of a two-part movie.
HAIKYU!! SEASON 5 MOVIE TRAILER
As of now, there is no official trailer for the two-part movie, but the “TOHO ANIMATION” youtube channel dropped a trailer named “HAIKYU!! FINALE” which confirmed the production of the two-part movie.
HAIKYU!! SEASON 4 RECAP
In the 4th season of haikyu, Karausuno high makes its way into the tournament after defeating Shiratorizawa high. In the tournament, Hinata and Kageyama end up meeting a lot of their friends and they cheer them on their matches. Karasuno High defeats the Tsubahihara Academy and gets ready for their next match against the famous Inarizaki high which introduces the undefeatable Miya twins. The match between Karasuno and Inarizaki is a close one, both teams giving their all for the win, and in the end, Karasuno high wins. As karasuno high wins against the Miya twins, Nekoma high also makes their way through the tournament. Finally, one of the most anticipated match between Karasuno and Nekoma high takes place and that is where season 4 comes to an end.
CHARACTERS
- Hinata Shoyo
Hinata Shoyo (played by Ayumu Murase) is the main protagonist of the series. One day little shoyo sees the “Little Giant” of the Karasuno team in action and is inspired to play volleyball and become the greatest volleyball player there is. Taking a step forward, he makes a volleyball team in his middle school but they are unable to win any matches. Later on, he takes admission in Karasuno High and ends up joining the school’s volleyball team where he meets kageyama and many other friends.
- Kageyama Tobio
Kageyama Tobio (played by Kaito Ishikawa) is the second important character of the series. He meets middle school Hinata in a match and kageyama’s team ends up winning between the two teams. In his middle school years, he was known as the “king of the court” but his title doesn’t stay for long. He is unable to join the Shiratorizawa Academy and hence ends up taking admission in Karasuno High, where he meets Hinata again and their adventure of becoming the best volleyball player begins.
- Oikawa Toru
Oikawa Toru (played by Daisuke Namikawa) is a 3rd-year student from Aobajosai High. He is the captain of the school’s volleyball team and also the setter of the team. He is widely known as the ace setter. Oikawa is also known as kageyama’s senior and the two are often compared with each other as they have the same position in their teams.
- Kuroo Tetsuro
Kuroo Tetsuro (played by Yuuichi Nakamura) is a 3rd year student from Nekoma High. He is the captain of the school’s volleyball team and also the middle blocker of the team. Since he was a kid, he had been fond of volleyball and so he ended up joining the school’s volleyball team along with his friend kenma. Nekoma and Karasuno, has a practice match where he meets Hinata and becomes good friends with him.
- Kenma Kozume
Kenma Kozume (played by Yuuki Kaji) is a 2nd year student from Nekoma High. He plays as the setter in the school’s volleyball team and is given the title of “Team’s Brain” by his teammates as he is quick to analyse the situation his team is in and help them through. Initially kenma had no plans of joining the team but he is dragged in by his childhood friend kuroo.
- Ushijima Wakatoshi
Ushijima Wakatoshi (played by Ryouta Takeuchi) is a 3rd year student from Shiratorizawa High. He is the captain as the well as the ace of the school’s volleyball team. He is well known for being the top third ace among the country’s aces.
- Bokuto Koutaro
Bokuto Koutaro (played by Ryuohei Kimura) is a 2nd year student from Fukurodani Academy. He is the ace and the captain of the school’s volleyball team. He is one of the top 5 ace’s in the whole country, missing the top 3 mark. He meets Hinata and others in a camp where he teaches Hinata some great volleyball moves.
- Miya Twins
Atsumu Miya (played by Mamoru Miyano) is a 2nd year student from Inarizaki High. He is the setter of the school’s volleyball team and is known as the best setter in the whole of Japan. He is also invited to join a special All Japan Youth Training Camp where he meets Kageyama.
Osamu Miya (played by Kabumoto Hideaki) is a 2nd year student from Inarizaki High. He is younger than Atsumu by 7 minutes. He plays as the wing spiker on the school’s volleyball team. He is considered as the quiet twin whereas Atsumu is the complete opposite.
